This is a great opportunity for someone with a 'can do' attitude and who thrives on delivering customer excellence. Our client is looking for someone who is not afraid to pick up the phone to speak with customers and get out and about when needed to visit clients.



As an Account Manager, your role is to develop new and existing relationships. The company is growing very quickly and can offer you a great opportunity to travel once you are trained. At around 6 months, you will be expected to go and meet your customers in person so you will need to be able to stay away at times.



Previous experience in sales administration or a similar role particularly in the manufacturing industry, would be highly desirable.



Duties:




  • One trained you would be supplying information to enable new customers to understand the product range and the usage of the company's materials.

  • Manage and nurture existing customer accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term relationships

  • Identify and secure new business accounts to achieve target sales levels.

  • Perform other duties as required by the Managers of the business.

  • As appropriate; review and follow-up on customer quotes; and enter quotes won as customer orders.

  • Quote materials and tooling, including items in stock or manufactured equipment; obtain quotations from other suppliers for non-standard materials when necessary; maintain quote records and follow-up with outstanding quotations.

  • Process customer orders, including processing for shipment. Ensure customer requirements are fulfilled.

  • Inform clients of pricing, lead times, terms and conditions, ship dates, etc.

  • Develop and maintain professional knowledge of Company products, services, marketing collateral, and catalogues.

  • Exploit any opportunity for identifying new business and further opportunities with existing customers to support business growth.

  • Identify inactive customers, analyse past orders, and initiate customer contact to generate return business.

  • Understand and comply with the sales system, process, and maintenance of the contact database.

  • Adhere to and comply with the Quality Manual and procedures.



Experience - not essential but desirable.




  • Proficient in computer usage.

  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

  • Proven experience in a similar sales or account management role.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Our client prefers candidates who possess their own transport as public transport isn't that reliable to this location.
