A well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice is seeking a dedicated and organised Finance Administrator to provide maternity cover. This is an administrative role that plays a crucial part in supporting the accounts and tax client managers, ensuring smooth communication with clients and efficient document processing.

The Role

The Finance Administrator will be responsible for liaising with clients to collect essential tax and accounting records, distributing financial documents for approval, and ensuring timely submission of accounts and tax returns. The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

* Liaising with clients to request and collect tax and accounting records.
* Distributing financial documents, including accounts and tax returns, for client approval.
* Submitting accounts and various tax returns, including corporation, personal, partnership, and trust tax, to the relevant authorities.
* Following up with clients to ensure timely approvals and submissions.
* Maintaining and updating client records, including those held at Chatteris.
* Sending tax payment reminders to clients.
* Assisting with changes to company year-end dates at Companies House.
* Providing general administrative support to the team as required.

Candidate Profile

This role is ideal for someone with a strong administrative background, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage client communications with professionalism and efficiency. Experience in an accountancy or financial environment would be beneficial but is not essential.

Working Arrangements:

The position is available for approximately 20 hours per week, with hybrid working options. The successful candidate will ideally start in early June to allow for a smooth handover and training period before the current employee's departure at the end of the month.
