Our client is a thriving and expanding construction business based in modern, recently refurbished offices in Huntingdon. They are seeking an Estimator to join their commercial department, offering a genuine career opportunity within the construction industry. Permanent Office based, Hybrid not available.

Their industry is contracting within the external refurbishment to existing and new buildings predominantly in and around London and the South-East. So, you will be trained to deal with architects, clients, Cost Consultants, Contractors and Engineers etc.

Full training will be provided for the right candidate, offering an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in a career in construction who possess a natural aptitude for numbers, a relevant technical degree or qualification, or some experience in estimating or surveying.

* Work with the Estimators and Senior Estimators on Bids providing support as and where required
* Keeps management informed of progress and status. Knows when to call for assistance from upper management to keep the process moving
* Provide Estimation Support to Sales Executives and Operation Teams in an orderly and timely way that meets the operational requirements of the business and clients
* Accurate Labour Loading of asset information
* Ensure commercial governance process is adhered to
* Work with various Integral internal functions, to ensure our price offering is suitable to meet both our requirements and those of the client
* Undertake site visits and surveys
* Estimate the cost, materials and staff required to achieve the client specification
* Liaise and engage with supply chain partners and subcontractors where applicable
* Evaluate and clearly understand the details and requirements for each tender
* Be up to date with the latest estimator techniques and procedures

Ideal Candidate:

* Technical / mathematical background or qualification.
* Must have a professional manner as you will be dealing with architects, engineers and clients.
* Thorough competency with Excel Spreadsheets
* Attention to detail as you will be expected to master one step before moving onto the next phase.
* Your own transport because, dependant on how you progress, you will need that flexibility to attend site and/or attend meetings.

Hours: Monday - Fri 9:00 - 5 (4pm on Fridays)
Holidays: 20 days annual leave increasing to 25 after 2yrs

Pension after successful probation, Travel Expenses
