Small business situated in Huntington on the banks of the River Ouse offering free parking and close proximity to the Town Centre which is always handy.
This role is very much a career move for a candidate who is all about the detail and loves a spreadsheet!
It is interesting role because working within a consultancy type environment who would be dealing with professionals such as subcontractors, architects, engineers and business owners. Experience in their field isn't required just good communication skills, written and verbal, as well as sound knowledge of Excel because once you are trained you would be involved in pricing projects.
- Initially much of the role we will tracking, transferring photos and documents of building projects using portals so attention to detail and computer skills are key.
- Perform administrative tasks to support the Estimating Director with building quotes.
- Enter data gathered into estimating spreadsheet to develop project specific pricing and initial business case for the project. Make estimates of costs of all elements required to complete the project to the required scope.
- Maintain various estimating and project logs.
- Distribute required information and supply subcontractors with project information as needed.
- Training in the generation of Requests for Information.
- Assist in development of schedules for various projects.
- Tracking of project labour and materials
- Assist with obtaining and processing shop drawings and submittals.
The Ideal candidate:
- To be successful in this role you will need to be highly organised, with great attention to detail. Excellent IT skills and a confident communicator.
- Previous administration experience is preferred, and you should be proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
- This role also requires someone who is used to working with data and has good numeracy skills.
- You must be able to drive and have your own transport.
Hours: 42.5 Hours per week (Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:30pm)
Benefits: 25 days holiday per annum plus statutory Bank holidays. (up to 5 days of annual leave to be taken at Christmas to coincide with the closure of the company)
