Sales Administrator

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 p.a.

Our client based in Huntingdon hire out for events, distribute, and rework various types of equipment for the telecommunications industry. You would eventually have an opportunity to get involved across the entire business before focusing on where you excel.

This role has come about due to expansion and offers the opportunity to work with a brand with new ideas for the market.

The role covers the following areas. It is important however to note that this role isn't entirely office based since visiting clients with a colleague before eventually be confident to go out on your own. Good training will be given!

The Role:

Taking Orders - You will be taught their in-house system and how to process orders received by their website, social media portals, email and over the telephone. All information is inputted onto the system. The system will alert you as to when it is necessary to consult with accounts should there be a previous issue with payment.

Ordering Stock - Eventually you would be the point of contact for your clients who will be your responsibility to ensure that components are available to expediate repairs etc. This would involve you establishing a good relationship with their certified supply chain.

Scheduling - Occasionally it's necessary to send an engineer to the client site so you would be responsible for co-ordinating work in progress by liaising with the engineering supervisor as well as the client on timings.

Quotations - This is very much all worked out for you using the system, however it will be within your gift to discount dependant upon size of the order and upsell where you think it's appropriate in order to ensure loyalty from your client.

Product Knowledge - Our client believes that knowing your product range is key to understanding how you can be of service to their clients, hence you would receive formal training as well as on the job training across the board starting by working within the purchasing & sales department where you will see first hand what products they have and how they are utilised by various clients internally and on site.
